It is about resource efficiency and better quality of life to boost wellbeing and productivity, especially in cities. We have 40 dynamic companies presenting, in biotech processing, (three) in high value carbon capture, (two) in batteries and (two) scooter designers (amongst others). It’s great to see both the City and the Port of Rotterdam promoting the industries of the future at this event.”

Companies from 10 different countries across Europe applied to present at the Summit, however half of the presenting companies are headquartered in the Netherlands, attesting to an upward trend in representation of cleantech in this part of Europe. 25% of the presenting companies already have 30 or more employees and many are expected to raise investments with round sizes ranging from EUR 400,000 to EUR 30M.
